On magic moments

The firefly that winks at you and ascends the floors outside the department building at midnight.

A full moon so bright that you forget it's night.

The owl that almost brushes you as you head back to your hostel room.

The firefly that sits placidly on a stalk blinking on--off while you examine it from all angles.

And a patch of sky so blue you had forgotten how it looked.

Ever tried poetry Sreepathi?

That was nearly a prosem. Let's try structuring it into a poem a little ;) (the rhymes might be a little forced, but im in a rhyming mood so kindly adjust)

a firefly winks at you
and ascends the floors
to fly out of your view

a full moon so bright
that it makes you forget
it's half past midnight.

an owl almost brushes past
you walk back to your room
where you sit and stare
at the firefly,
it blinks,
you blink again...

it flies farther away from you
and you blink again
only to stare
at a patch of sky so blue
that you'd forgotten.

your face has a half smile
and you wonder
was it a star
just like millions
in the great wide open.
