Yesterday, on the eve of Independence Day, I left the Centre for my Hostel. I was confronted with darkness -- my hostel (indeed, that side of campus) was completely dark. I had gone from a 24x7, self-powered, battery-backed up Centre ("power literally at your feet") to the "real India".
Some deep message there.
