Broken Swing

Nice looking cycle, isn't it? That's what I thought when I bought it.

Look closely though:



Yep, as of yesterday, my Ranger Swing of slightly less than a decade is no more. After weathering owner neglect, Mumbai's corrosive atmosphere, Bangalore's rainy skies and the daily bumps on the bridge steps to PD in the Institute, it finally decided to give way. The weld on the frame has torn itself apart. I doubt it can be fixed easily.

FWIW, it tore itself apart while I was riding it. I felt a wobble and a drag to the right. I got down and looked for a loose wheel but it was the frame that had gone.

So I'm looking for a new cycle. Most likely a used one. Given how much it costs, I doubt it will be a Thunder MTB.
