Demon Fight

"And do you have anymore?"

The young warrior shouted out to the blackness. It had been a long series of battles, the first one of which was now a long time ago. The void did not seem so black now, and with his senses sharpened, awaiting his next demon, the warrior could discern light.

The light seemed to fade, and the warrior saw his next opponent materialize in front of him. The warrior could not help feeling a sense of happiness. Here in front of him, was an opponent worth fighting to the death. Indeed, they had sparred many times before, in a human time-frame of over 6 years. And it had been only recently that the fights could not be predicted in advance, and the warrior stood some chance. If the darkness had been forced to send this demon, the warrior thought, the end is surely near.

They took stance, and the sounds of sword-meeting-sword echoed throughout the darkness. The fight would be a long one. The warrior had learned to defend, where once he would fall apart, and a warrior who defends well isn't far off from attacking as well.
